This scene from Face/Off now makes for disturbing viewing

This scene from John Woo’s 1997 action film Face/Off now has disturbing parallels with reality. In it, Danny Masterson – perhaps best-known as Steve Hyde in the TV series That ’70s Show – plays a character attempting to rape Dominique Swain.

Shortly after the assault begins, Masterson’s character is accosted and beaten by John Travolta, who plays Swain’s father – or a man posing as her father, to be more precise.

In March 2017, three women accused Masterson of having raped them. In November 2017, the case against Masterson was stalled.
